What to do in your Kitchen Garden in June
The sun is shining and the days are getting longer. There's lots to do in June as the kitchen garden is in full swing. But most of all, get out and enjoy the sunshine as you begin to reap the rewards through some early harvesting.
Jobs list
- In June its more important than ever to protect from pests. From now on you won't just have pigeons to contend with but cabbage white butterflies too! They will be targeting your brassicas so cover with netting. Aphids are also a nuisance at this time of year.
- It's also important to be checking for signs of disease like fungal infections.

June is a fantastic time for planting a range of different vegetables from salad leave to spring onions, peas and carrots, beetroots and more.
