What is a protein ball?
Protein balls are golf ball sized snacks that provide you with protein, healthy fats and fibre as well as a boost of energy! They are the perfect nibble for in between meals as they keep you fuller for longer.
They’re also sometimes known as energy balls or bliss balls.
What are protein balls made of?
Protein balls are made from dried fruits, nuts and nut butter. They are also made with protein powder which is where they get their name from.
In this recipe I used dates, almonds, almond butter and vanilla protein powder. They’re sweet and nutty.
How are these almond protein balls made?
To make protein balls you will need a high speed blender. This is really important as protein balls are made by adding all of the ingredients to the blender and blitzing on high until you have a smooth dough like consistency.
Once you have blended all of your ingredients you simply shape them into balls. It’s that easy!
If you really want you can then roll them in extra nuts.
