Classic Homemade Pesto

Pesto is a classic Italian sauce. It's perfect for stirring through pasta for a quick and easy dinner

Ingredients

  • 75 g parmesan or vegetarian Italian hard cheese
  • 50 g pine nuts toasted
  • 100 g basil
  • 150 ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 0.5 lemon juice only

Instructions

  • Add the parmesan to your blender and pulse until it has grated.
  • Put the rest of the ingredients in the blender and blitz on high for 1 minute or until a smooth sauce has formed.
  • Place in a sterilised jar and top with a little more live oil.
  • Use within 1 month.
