Cinnamon and Amaretto Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 300 millilitres whole milk
  • 100 grams dark chocolate finely chopped or grated
  • 75 grams milk chocolate finely chopped or grated
  • 75 millilitres single cream
  • 50 millilitres amaretto
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • Warm about the milk in a pan over a meadium heat.
  • Before it comes to a simmer take off the heat and add in the chocolate.
  • Stir until the chocolate is completely melted.
  • Whisk in the cream followed by the amaretto.
  • Continue to heat until the mixture is hot (but not boiling) then add the cinnamon.
  • Whisk again before pouring to make velvety.
