Here you'll find out how to make a pumpkin spice latte base, made with REAL pumpkin. I'll also show you how to turn that base into a hot drink.

For the Pumpkin Spice Base:
  • ½ can pumpkin puree
  • 150 grams light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extra
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp all spice
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
For the Latte:
  • 1 tablespoon of pumpkin spice latte base see above
  • 1 tsp ground coffee
  • 240 millilitres milk
  • Squirty cream optional
  • Cinnamon to dust, optional
To make the Pumplin Spice Base:
  1. Mix together the pumpkin puree, sugar and spices in a small bowl until a smooth paste has formed.
  2. Store in a steralised jar in the fridge until you need to use it.
For the Latte
  1. Fill your favourite mug with a glass of milk.
  2. Pour the glass of milk into a milk pan and heat slowly on a low heat.
  3. Add the tablespoon of pumpkin spice latte base along with the coffee and whisk until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Whisk fast enough and you'll get that real coffee house frofth!
  5. Once the milk is at your desired temperature, decant back into your favourite mug.
  6. Top with squirty cream and sprinkles if you wish.
Recipe Notes

The jar of pumpkin spice latte base will keep in the fridge for up to two weeks (if you don't use it all by then!)
