  • 500 grams white bread flour
  • 15 grams dried yeast made up to the packets instructions
  • 75 millilitres olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 250 millilitres water this does not include water required to activate your yeast
  1. In a small bowl, activate the yeast according to the packets instructions.
  2. In a separate large bowl mix the flour and salt.
  3. Next add in the olive oil and yeast. Mix the dry and wet ingredients together until a ball forms.
  4. Tip out on to a very lightly floured surface  and knead for 10 minutes until the dough is smooth, elastic and bounces back when gently poked.
  5. Place in a warm place for half an hour until the dough doubles in size. At the same time, turn your oven up as high as it goes (at least 250C/480F) to pre-heat.
  6. Cut the dough into four portions and roll out until half a centimetre thick.
  7. Smother the dough with sauce and toppings then bake in the centre of your oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted and your toppings have cooked.
