Living room design inspiration

Have you been following the home and interiors section of the blog recently? No?! Why not! Since finally buying our first house (YAY), I’ve been sharing some of my design inspiration for the bathroom and dining room. Today I’m sharing design ideas for the living room.
A lot happens in the living room. It’s often the first room guests see when they come round your house and no doubt it’s where you do most of your entertaining. Whilst your living room should be functional I think its important that it is guest ready and looking good! Check out my ideas below and let me know what you think in the comments.

Why not make your lounge a grown up living space with sexy and sophisticated navy and brushed gold. This living room design inspiration includes luxurious heavy fabrics and glossy touches of brass and gold. I can see myself sipping wine on that sofa with my friends. Can’t you?

Scandi style is effortlessly cool. This minimalist look is bright, colourful and calming. It’s also incredibly stylish and perfect for a modern living room. You could probably satisfy all of your scandi style needs at Ikea but there are some wonderful designers out there offering Scandinavian interiors.

This warm and cosy living room design is inspired by soft leather, dark wood and soft cream furnishings. Leather sofas are a classic. Why not add a fluffy cream throw to snuggle under on cold winter nights? You can bring this design right up to date by adding typographical artwork.
Do you prefer the silk and velvet soft furnishings of the first design or do you prefer a leather and dark wood? Perhaps Scandi is more your style?
