COMPETITION: Tickets for a food adventure from Tabl.com

Tabl.com is an exciting new website offering tickets to foodie events in London and Brighton. Find out how you can get your hands on two tickets to an event of your choosing below.
Those of you with an eye for detail will have noticed a new badge on my side bar. It says “Community Founder, Tabl.com”. But what does it mean? Tabl.com is a new website which brings together food lovers at pop-up kitchens, “secret” supper clubs and food adventures. Whether you’re looking for an immersive brunch, a peek into the kitchen of your favourite restaurant, or a supper club with like-minded folks then the Tabl has the event for you.
That probably all sounds like marketing speak but the concept for the website really is simple: browse events, find a foodie event that looks like good fun and request your place at the Tabl. Through the website you can explore menus and host backgrounds, find out who else is going and book for yourself and your friends. As community founder I am one of the lucky ones who get to help promote the website and attend an event or two. A couple of weeks ago I did just that and joined the Tabl at Shotgun in Soho.
It all started with a smoky old fashioned on arrival before a selection of snacks including pimento cheese with ritz crackers, devilled eggs and a pulled pork stuffed pretzel roll were hand delivered by Chef Dan, head chef at this amazing American BBQ restaurant in the heart of London.
After my first boozy cocktail, and a couple of bar snacks, we were invited into the kitchen to watch the chefs slicing brisket, pulling pork, and splitting ribs right before our eyes. We grilled the pit masters and chefs, studied their spice racks, checked out the smoke stacks and marvelled at their fermented pickles lining the shelves. We took our loaded plates back to our tables before washing the meal down with sickly sweet banana pudding. It was a dining experience like no other. Getting in the kitchen and chatting to the chefs really got me going and I could definitely imagine myself prepping pickles, smoking pigs ears and whipping up batches of that banana pudding to the sound of “YES CHEF!”
It was my first taste of an event from The Tabl and I was not disappointed. How often can you say you get to check out the kitchen of a top London restaurant? Or that you get to grill the staff and ask them for the recipe for the cocktail that’s slipping down all too easily. After I rolled out of the restaurants very full and content, I found myself back on the website looking at which event I might sign up for next.
The Competition
But, this post isn’t about me. Quite the opposite! It’s about giving you guys the chance to attend one of these awesome events. Entry is via the rafflecopter widget below. The competition will be open for 2 weeks (closing at midnight on Sunday 29 May) before a winner will be selected at random via the rafflecopter widget.
If you are the lucky winner, I will be in contact (so do make sure you have spelt your email / twitter username etc correctly!) If the winner does not respond after a month of contacting we will have to redraw a new winner. The Tabl will then arrange for 2 tickets to the event of your choice! Please note that the prize only consists of the event tickets, travel costs etc will not be provided.
Competition open to UK residents over 18 years of age only.
An the winner is…MILLY! Congratulations!
