7 Thanksgiving Table Decoration Ideas
Thanksgiving Table Settings

Back in the Summer I did a post on Perfect Picnicware. I had bought myself a lovely new picnic hamper and wanted to share ideas with my readers about some of the other lovely picnic products on the market.

Summer has been and gone and as we move closer to winter I thought I’d do a simillar post, but this time with table setting ideas for Thanksgiving.

I’ve also started a pinterest board of Thanksgiving Décor Inspiration but this is more focussed on items you can buy in the UK rather than just flower arranging and pumpkin carving!

This will be the second year I’ve hosted a thanksgiving and first time round I found it difficult to source thanksgiving themed table decorations in the UK. But, as we become more Americanised (probably because of people like me hosting thanksgiving dinners….) there are becoming more and more products on the UK market!

So, whether you are a Brit choosing to celebrate Thanksgiving just for an excuse to eat more turkey, or if you are an American living in rainy England, here are just a few ideas for how to make your table look beautiful this thanksgiving.

1. Set of 4 Red Wine Glasses from Next – £16

These wine glasses come from a glassware collection at Next.co.uk. For a Set of 4 these are really reasonably priced and you can also buy matching tumblers and champagne glasses.

Coloured glassware is a great way of adding a pop of colour to your table, particularly if you are keeping things simple with a cream or beige table cloth/napkins.

2. Le Creuset Pumpkin Casserole Dish from John Lewis – £25

I am absolutely in love with this casserole dish! I’m a big fan of statement tableware. Why serve your dinner in a boring white dish when you could serve it in a pumpkin!

Le Creuset is also fantastic quality so you know you will get a lifetimes use out of it. Your thanksgiving table will never be complete without it.

3. Thanksgiving Turkey Centrepiece from NonStopParty.co.uk – £4.50

When dressing your table there are two looks you can go for. The first is fun and vibrant, the second is classic and chic. I always try to mix the two and this turkey is my nod to a bit of fun!

After all, what people love about Thanksgiving is the turkey, so why not reserve its place on the table with this fun tissue paper centrepiece. It’s only £4.50 … you know you want to!

4. Leafy Napkin Ring Holder (2 pack) from Etsy.com – £7.63

These napkin rings again work well with the idea of keeping table linen clean and simple but using little details to bring the colours of autumn to the table. The fall leaves napkin ring holders are an incredibly cute touch that your guests will love.

5. Copper Effect Metal Barrel from Laura Ashley – £55

When I first saw this barrel from Laura Ashely I fell in love. The depth of colour and subtle sheen are exactly the touch of glamour I think the table needs. It would look great filled with statement flours in deep purples, reds and oranges.

6. Ceramic Leaf Ornament from Laura Ashely – £20

This is another cute table decoration from Laura Ashley. Dishes like this bring height and depth to your table. They are also pretty useful serving as good serving spoon rests meaning that your tablecloth should stay nice and clean!

7. Burlap Table Runner with Red Bow from Etsy.com – £8.27

Last but not least is one of my favourite items on this list, the burlap table runner. I bought this for myself a few weeks ago when I started planning my thanksgiving table. Hessian table runners are very shabby chic and as a result you can find them all over the internet.

This table runner is actually hand made in America but they will happily ship to the UK with reasonable postage costs and they are quick too!

What made this stand out for me was the red bow detail. This helps tie in your colour theme from candles, glassware and napkin rings, right down to the floor.

Your table will be dripping with style!
