Morning all! You might have noticed I’ve been a little quiet on the meal planning front for the last few weeks but forgive me, I’ve been on holiday!
On Friday we came back from our annual trip to Cornwall. This year we decided to rent a Classic VW Camper called Delilah and had a fantastic time visiting Mevagissey, Gorran Havern, Heligan, St Ives, Perranporth and Padstow. Unfortunately we did have to cut out holiday a teency bit short as the weather took a turn for the worse. It ended up taking us 4.5 hours to get out of Cornwall! We then had a horrendous journey home which took 13.5 hours (instead of the usual 7 hours) caused by never ending roadworks and a number of serious accidents, no doubt caused by the large amounts of holiday traffic and tired drivers!
Despite the slightly frustrating end we had an absolutely amazing time. We stuffed our faces with plenty of traditional Cornish fare: cream teas, saffron buns, fish and chips and more! On our last night we also went to Paul Ainsworth’s at No 6 (perhaps my favourite restaurant ever?) where we had the most amazing 3 course meal and plenty of delicious cocktails to wash it all down!

Until then, here’s what we’ll be eating for dinner this week. We are a little poor having spent so much on holiday which is why I’ve resorted to so many tubs of ready made soup. Hopefully as well as being kind to my bank balance they will also be kind to my waistline as we’ll opt for lower calorie varieties.
