My Week in Pictures
This is the sixteenth My Week in Pictures post and while I get that they are meant to be more about the pictures than words, I can’t help but feel I should probably be saying a little bit more, especially as they get so much attention from you guys. So I’m toying with a new format – bear with me! The post will still be all about the pictures but hopefully I’ll give you a better insight into what I’ve been doing at work, at home and out and about, as well as what’s been popular on the blog this week. Enjoy!
I worked at the clients offices for the last time this week. I had been on secondment over at Tower Hill for just over 2 months and my supervisors finally decided it was time for me to go back to the offices. So, I’ll be going back to my old routine as of Monday. No more early morning starts!
Favourite recipe I made: this week we cooked loads! I made beer bread with Jon (who blogged about it over at Drink Drank Drunk) but my favourite had to be the Beanotto which I have been trying to perfect. It’s essentially a risotto made with canellini beans, marscapone, wine and spinach. Once I’ve finally got the recipe (and presentation) sorted I’ll be sure to share it here.
I read Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami. I am seriously hooked with this book. I don’t want to spoil it but I will say one thing…there are a couple of paragraphs that are a little graphic…I seriously hope my fellow commuters haven’t been reading over my shoulder!
I blogged about my new love for cold brew tea as well as a recipe and tips for making the Ultimate Jacket Potato with Cheese Sauce! It is comfort food at its best!
You blogged and I read The Best of 2014 by Kerry at KerryCooks.com I can’t believe how many views her Rainbow Cake received! It is a fantastic recipe. This Coffee and Doughnuts Cake also caught my attention over at This is Rock Salt – is there anything better than a cake with doughnuts on?!
I went to Dil’s Indian in Hertford for a birthday meal with my parents – Happy Birthday Mum! – on Saturday night. I followed this up with brunch the next morning with friends at Brixton Market on Sunday morning. I’ll be reviwing Wild Caper soon so watch out for the blog post! I’ll also be doing an article on Brixton Village and Market Row over at LocallyExperienced.com – did I mention I’m writing over there as well now?!
That’s all for this week folks – next week is my birthday so you can expect cake, cake and more cake! What have you been up to this week?
